HubPages
Hubpages.com is a bit newer than Squidoo, but it is just as effective in sending traffic to your affiliate page.
Hubpages is free
You can start by registering for Hubpages and then opening your free account. Once you do, select “start a new hub” and you’ll be directed to the next step in the process – picking your title and picking your URL.
Just like with Squidoo, make sure your title and your url contain your main keyword for that “hub” – and then keep the rest of the content focused on that keyword. For example, if you choose “natural childbirth methods” don’t include content on “c-section childbirth.”
Pre-designed layouts
Hubpages will ask you to choose a pre-designed layout for your hub. Out of the three available options the furthest left with two text boxes seems to work the best. You’ll need an article to create your hub as well as a photo.
Hubpages is a bit more restrictive as far as promotional content goes. You have to be sure that your article is quality information and not just sales copy for your affiliate offer. By writing articles in the method described in earlier steps, you’ll be able to create a Hubpage with staying power.
